8 Itzig-Benjamin Benjaminson, son of Wulf Benjaminson and Gitel Gavronsky, born 1889 in Aizpute (Hasenpoth).  Itzig-Benjamin was a pharmacist who worked for many years in Daugavpils, Latvia. He was killed by the Nazis either in Daugavpils or in Riga in 1941.  Itzig Benjamin Benjaminson
9 Jeva Benjaminson, nee Berenstein.  Jeva was born in Gaisin, on the Latvian/Russian border in 1899. She was killed in Latvia during the Holocaust.  Jeva Berenstein
10 Joseph (Jasep) Benjaminsohn, born in Hasenpoth, Latvia and killed by the Nazis in the Riga Ghetto.  Joseph fought in the Latvia War of Independence in 1919-1920 against German and White Russian forces. He later became an interior designer in Riga. In 1941, he and his family were sent to the Ghetto of Riga, where they were murdered by the Nazis.  Joseph Benjaminson

15 S.S. New York  This is the ship that carried my great-grandmother Betty and her nine(!) children from England to New York. Betty and the children left South Africa and travelled via England to meet Bernhard in New York.  Betty Benjaminson
